About
My name is Mike Robichaud, founder of www.muscleblueprint.com.
I am a fitness enthusiast, an avid sports player, and an ISSA certified personal trainer.
My journey into lifting weights started when I was 16 years old. All my life I was the tall scrawny kid. Before I started training I was 6ft2 and 128lbs. You can’t get much smaller than that. I was a picture perfect definition of lanky! I was also very physically active. I was involved in Varsity Rugby, Wrestling, Hockey and also Martial Arts. These sports are all incredibly physical, so it was time to make a change and put on some size.
I will be the first one to admit, in the beginning I went about doing things the wrong way. Like most, I went out and bought all the bodybuilding magazines I could find. I read all about how the pro’s trained and I built my training program around them. I spent hundreds of dollars every month on expensive supplements. I spent hours every day in the gym. I grew a little. In the first few years I managed to get up to about 145lbs. Sure I got results, but I was going about it all wrong and really didn’t maximize my potential.
It wasn’t until a few years later I started realizing the benefits of nutrition, rest, and proper training technique that I really started maximizing the benefits of my training. I started training with competitive bodybuilder and great friend Mike Maillet. He taught me all about the proper way to train. I also started working closely with The Musclecook himself, Dave Ruel. Dave is a genious when it comes to nutrition. With the help of these guys I was able to bring myself up to a solid 212lbs. That’s an incredible 84lb increase over where I started! See the transformation for yourself in the pics below.

Over the years I have perfected my training technique. I’ve developed a system that really works. Not for the pro bodybuilders, but for the average person just like you and me. And that is my purpose of this site. To help share the information that I’ve learned over the years and help others progress just like I have. If I can help you learn and keep you from making the same mistakes I did, then my mission will be a success.
I’ll see you around the site!
Mike
